Baird Buys Auto Auction Biz
Chicago, Illinois-based buyout fund Baird Capital Partners purchased two automobile auction companies, Charleston Auto Auction and Rea Brothers Mid-South Auto Auction. The two target companies are based in Moncks Corner, South Carolina and Pearl, Mississippi, respectively. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

End Of Year Boost For Van Prices
THE VALUES of used vans continued to increase throughout November, reveal both British Car Auctions (BCA) and Manheim Auctions.
At BCA values rose ?44 to ?3,902 when compared with October. This surpassed the January high of ?3368.
Fleet and lease values were the main beneficiary of the increases, as prices rose by ?146 to ?4,344 (up 3.5%).

Van Values Continue To Rise
THE VALUES OF second-hand vans at auction continued to rise throughout February, with British Car Auctions (BCA) and Manheim Auctions reporting increases of 3.5% and 4.4% respectively.
At BCA, prices rose ?158 to ?4,585 over its January figure — this represents the fourth consecutive increase.
